Does anyone know the length of the steering column for a 57-60 F100? I want to install a column shift but do not know how to measure the length. Does not need to be stock--- street Rod dreams
I ordered a 31" steering column from Flaming River at one time. (It took so long, I cancelled the order.) Anyway, 31" is the measurement my guys got for my street mod '59. I now have a '78 GM tilt column that fits fine, IMO. But it's not a column shift (either a 3-on-3-tree, or an automatic column shift) anymore! I have an AOD with a Lokar floor-mounted shifter.

Did you use a GM truck column? My main interest is the tilt colum that I can match up to a MII IFS
P.S. just checked your gallery. Very impressive. I am in prelim stages myself but ready to take that leap forward. I like the height. Did you have to notch the rear frame?
P.P.S. why did you go with such a tall tire?
