Steering column and steering box change
I have a 62 F100 shortbed with a 223 motor with a 3 speed transmission with the shifter on the column. The steering column shaft and steering box is a one piece unit. Can anyone tell me if I can change out the steering box and column to a two piece unit from a different year truck with a shifter on the column? I know different years uses rag joints and the column and steering box are two separate units. What year column and steering box will work? and will they be a direct bolt in?
