But i would just get a turbo timer and be done with it. I got one in my truck and my boss Stroker. That way you can put the stinger in the manifold and then hit the timer to run the truck 2-4-6 mins to cool it off.

Another thing that is also brought up about mounting the Stinger before the turbo is that it will brake off and damage the turbo. This way of thinking is antiquated. Yes it was a problem with the first pyrometer thermocouples. Some were two piece in design with no sleve. After several (million!) heat cycles, they could ware out and brake. BUT these were in big trucks that drive and drive and drive.....you get the pic. NOW the thermocouples are done in a one piece stainless that is virtually imposable to brake. They are MUCH more heat resistant then the older design. I have NEVER heard of a one piece that has broken. Plus most dont put the miles on their trucks that a big rig sees. So its hard to compair apples to oranges.....
