47 1.5 ton
HI I am a new member I have just started to repower my truck with a 453-Detroit Diesel & Allison transmission Iam going to box the front section of frame,move the fire wall back a few inches & install power brakes, power rack & pinon, A rear end from a 70s IH load star 1500 or 1600 is perfect fit the only mod is the drive line . I will be using this truck to pull my modified pulling tractor to local events, I thought this old Ford was so cool the first time I saw her I just had to buy her. I really enjoy this site.

Sounds like a cool project, fat 47. Post some pix when you can in your gallery, love to see your truck. Always nice to see somebody putting these big workhorses back to work, especially with some mods such as yours. Welcome aboard.
