my windshield leaked once and all the water went down down into my fuse panel and got into my gem modual. everything went weird just like you was explaining. once i got the water out of there my problems went away. but if your gem is bad that probably explains it.
The GEM looked like new as did all of the main connectors. No signs that water was ever in there. If that turns out to be the problem, something else other than water made it fail. I'm hoping that's what it is as nearly everything that goes through the GEM isn't working correctly.

No codes showed up on mine either. I had dash lights, but no dome light - along with the other issues I listed.
well you won't have the same issues. like my truck messed with the radio, horn, wipers, door locks, and a bunch of other stuff. most of them would come on at random times even with the key off just sitting in my garage.
