wait to start light

Is it normal for the light to blink once or twice after it goes out?

Yes its very normal, they call this process "After Burn" It pretty much keeps the cylinders a certain temp till it starts

If the engine is not started and the key is ON, the glow plugs cycle to keep the engine ready to start.

If theirs any burnt out plugs will it cause the light to only flash on for a second and then go out, or something to that effect?

if there are bad glow plugs it will come on then shut off really fast.go through and test them or go to schucks or oreillys and get in on the GP's for $5.60 a piece and replace them all

I was just checking for future reference. Glow plugs are functioning as normal.
