I'm still here too folks .... seems as though I've been away for quite some time though. Guess that just means I've got lots of reading to do.
Hope that all is well with everyone !!!!
Yeah I really enjoy this site, I've been on it for a while now just not 'here' as in the Ontario chapter. My ride is in my sig, 2002 F-150 4.6. Its 1 in the morning and my neighbour and I just finished swapping out my 3.08 open end with a 3.55 LS. It took us about 3 hours (not including my slow cleanup at the end) with one guy who knows what hes doing and me who sort of knows what hes doing. Mostly I just handed him wrenches and beer. I took it for a test drive and wow what a huge difference. My truck was gutless before and now well, its less gutless. lol. I love this gearing switch and I'm hoping since I didn't go too huge with the gear choice my gas mileage wont be hit too hard. I can't understand why a 3.08 was even offered, but either was its time for some
Dan here from Kitchener, don't have a truck yet, but I do have an '02 Focus SVT from the Ford family. I'm looking for a truck similar to the one my grandfather had (early 70's f-150 2wd) so if anyone has any local leads, let me know!
^^ problem is my grandfathers truck was a pre-'72 model I think because it had the gas tank filler cap behind the drivers door. Is that correct? that's what someone in the welcome thread told me
