Catman...thats exactly what i was talking about. got them at RadioShack aye...hafta check em out whenever i get there. did they have any shorter versions? or by any chance in black? i didnt want mine quite that tall. at least one person knew what i was talkin about.

Yeah I know what you're talking about to I got two mounted on my '88 near the front of the fenders on either side of my hood. Mine are very functional though. Not having them hooked to a cb is like buying tool box and leaving it empty.

Besides cb's aren't that much and they come in real handy if you get up in the hills were your cell phone don't work.

(Just my opinion)

Yep they had all kinds of different lengths in black and white. I had them on my old truck too - everyone knows it's me 'cause hardly anyone else around here has them. Anything to be a little different!

the best deal i found on my whip antenna(for my integra) was on the atlanta falcons dan shop. amazon found the price for me. i paid 20 bucks with shipping. i didn't feel like driving to wyoming to buy an antenna. well, i do like driving to wyoming sometimes...nice and peaceful out there.

course You could buy a screwdriver antenna... get a ham radio license and talk around the country, listen to the cb chatter too.
(screwdriver antenna has a motor which lengthens the antenna by moving a coil of wire) 9' to 11' depending what HF bands your talking on...

Firestik.com has a whip that is non functional. You can use it to attach a flag to it if needed. I think they had lengths from 2 ft to 9ft or better. you need a mount to attach it to. Hope this helps.

"Redneck" style in Missouri, would be to go into your bedroom closet and find an old metal hanger...straighten it out...and "duck-tape" it to your truck. Don't forget to add a under the dash..(or in your ashtray) FM radio adapter.
