MAg mount antenna - solution?

At work I often have to have a whip and radio antenna on my truck. I recently learned through trial and error they don't stick at all to the new body.

I thought suction cups but they might not work well in really cold weather.

I know there is hitch mounts. I was also thinking some sort of box mount. Princess auto is likely my best route I am thinking. Ideas?

I have the glass sunroof and just bought a heavy duty magnet and placed it on the inside of the glass and the magnet mount holds good from the outside. Haven't had it fall off yet.

With my Kenworth, (Fiberglas cab) I would just glue a small piece of steel, big enough for the magnetic base, to the roof. No one except me knew it was there!
I just used like an eighteen guage thickness, painted color matched, problem solved!

A couple magnets in head liner might do the trick. Sounds like a solid idea. I also have lots of rare earth magnets kicking around.

I will give that a try and see how it pans out once it reaches a reasonable temperature out here. -36 is a bit much to be mcgivering

Try a RAM Mount Triple suction cup base. I use it on my boat and it holds well. I used the triple in case one came loose there are still two other suction cups holding. They are extremely strong and not too expensive.

Seasucker makes heavy duty suction cup bases we use them on the boats all the time. Might be able to rig something up on one of them.
