How do you have your CB antennas mounted?
So, while I am off fixing my other issues with the truck, I would like to ask. How have you guys mounted your CB antennas. I tried doing it on the mirror, didnt like that. So Im thinking I will put them in the behind the cab in the bed. What kind of mounts do you guys use for this? Ive currently got 1 4ft whip. Once I figure out what mounts Im getting Ill order another whip.

I mounted mine on the side of my headache rack. Of course if you don't have one of those that option doesn't work.
Years ago there were threads on this and I remember some getting a mount that mounted up around the hood kinda like the radio antenna but it seems like it was a no drill in the hood or fender mount.
Otherwise it's still the same old options. Magnet, bed rail, mirror, rear bumper mount.

You could use a piece of square tube, attached inside the driver's front side of the bed. At the top of the tube (topped out at the top of the cab) a right angle bracket could be attached to mount the antenna. A right angle bracket at the bottom could be bolted to the bed, another right angle bracket could be attached to the stake pocket. This eliminates any holes into the cab and leaks.

A buddy of mine used some stake hole mounts and likes it, says he gets good range with his two-way for fire/rescue.
I put mine on the side of my toolbox with one of the angled pole mounts. After cutting the holes I installed rubber grommets so water wouldn't leak in and ran a ground strip from the bolts to the bed. With this combo I got a nearly 1:1 SWR reading. I do not have pictures at the moment, but can grab some tomorrow after work when I go out to finish installing some parts on the diesel.

Zach, that picture went through. I really like that. Do you know what those mounts are called?
