Decoding VIN number

Looking at a auction brochure with a 94 F250 listed. Does not say if it is gas or diesel. VIN # is listed.
How can I tell by the VIN what engine it has?

Decoding VIN number

By the eight digit.

An "M" in the eigth digit is a 7.3L diesel. A "K" in that spot is a 7.3L IDI turbo diesel. An "F" in that spot is a 7.3L PowerStroke.

Thanks for the reply. The eight digit is H so I assume it is a gas engine. The entire VIN is 1FTHX26HXRKB03970. This vehicle was sold to the US gov. new so that could make a difference.
Let me know if I am correct in assumimng it is gas. Not intrested if it is gas engine.
