Hi guy's I'm new to this world of Diesel and I'm wanting to change my rear end from dually to just a 2 wheel rear end is this possible and what would it intail to do this
welcome to FTE.
just take the dual rear wheels off and bolt a set of single rear wheels on. this way if you need to put the duals back on to move a heavy load it is a simple matter of taking the single off and putting the duals back on. it is easy to put a single wheel on a dually rear, it is hard to put duals on a single rear wheel rear..

Nope!
All you need is an aluminum spacer disk with studs.
It pushes the mounting surface out a couple of inches(basically as long as the existing studs), which allows for 2 offset wheels to be installed back to back.
This is what my dad has on his F-350 4x4; PO used it to haul a /heavy/ camper. Bearings are still in good shape.
until the tires hit the side of the bed ripping the sidewalls out of them
Uh, what?
As long as your tires are spaced correctly(In this case, the aluminum spacer compensates for using an offset rim instead of the stock rim), there should be no more clearance issues than stock.
And I'm pretty sure this was an aftermarket kit of some sort.
