Originally posted by psdwanabe Yes, it includes the Dec flash. Look at it this way, joe blow takes his 6.0 in to get flashed, at the same time jill blow takes her mustang in for a flash. Ford only has one WDS system, the current WDS level is 29.8 P2. Both the 6.0 and the mustang get flashed, they both leave with WDS calibration 29.8 P2.
I already had the December Flash in my endless attempts to get my truck back. Now your telling me that Ford Service is now doing "token" flashes to just make their owners feel better?
I can tell you that whatever they did changed my truck, and not for the better.
Bluish smoke on start-up is worse.
Power is down again.
Mileage seems to have dropped again.
Something has changed in the spool-up of the turbo.
Wandering Idle is back.
This all started in August when I was trying to find out if the bluish smoke on start-ups was something detrimental to the engine. Had no flashes, had the egr changed out in april, that was it. Told them not to flash the truck and they did.
Now, 3 flashes later, the smoke is worse and the truck does not perform anywhere near what it was.
I really do not want to give up this truck, I love this thing, just wish they could put it back to where it was.
Try a different dealer. They may not have flashed it correctly (battery charger hook-up), Ive seen several posts where people would try just that (a different dealer), same flash, different results.
