Can someone please help me, I would like to know what size door speakers I have in my 92 F-150 5.0L, before I pull the panels off, as I have blown them, so they need replaced!! thank you!!!
of course you may ask, i have a 1000watt sony xplode amp and 1100 watt 10" subwoofer, so I figured
i'd go with the 6.5inch sony explode 180 watt door speakers

I just replaced the door speakers in my 91 E-van and they were 6.5" round speakers. On a hunch, I stopped by our local K40 to see if they had a cheap set of speakers I could use and wound up buying a set of Ford OEM speakers with wiring harness still in the box for $15.95.

If this was my main vehicle, I'd consider aftermarket speakers, but this is a winter beater/tow vehicle that I bought for $795.
Come springtime, I'll have my 94Z28 with its Bose/Monsoon stereo system trying to drown out a loud 4" exhaust. I also have a 99 Neon that my son's borrowing over the winter so that he doesn't have to drive his 94Z28 in the snow either.

Yeah, good for a vehicle that you don't drive all the time
You wouldn't want to drive mine all year round. A 396 Stroker, hooked to a TH400 with manual valve body and 4000 stall torque convertor passing to a 4.10 rear is a challenge to drive on wet roads let alone snowy ones. And with all of the salt that they dump on the roads in Michigan, I would be able to "hear" my car rusting out.
Oh, that and 8mpg on Super Unleaded gas. It's definitely NOT a daily driver.
