Speaker/Radio - Issue?

When the volume on the radio is low my drivers side front speaker doesn't emit sound but the other 3 speakers work fine. When I increase the sound level the front drivers side speaker kicks in and I have sound on all four. I then decease the volume and all four speakers are fine. Do I have a speaker on the fritz or something else? Any ideas?

I've got the same problem as you do it sounds like, I have found that if I hit the door right above the speaker it starts working again.

Mine used to do that.
I pulled the the door panel and cleaned and blew out the speaker connectors. Mine were getting wet, shorting out the connection and one of the wires was lose inside the connector. Sometimes going over a bump the speaker would go on and off. I also wrapped some electrical tape around the connector to keep the water out after fixing the lose wire.

I also had this problem. There were actually two causes. As was already metioned, I had water inside the contacts. I blew it out, dried it off and used some dielectric grease when I put it back together.

It was OK for a while, then it cut out again. Turns out the speaker wire was broken between the door and the truck inside the flexible rubber boot from opening and closing the door. I splice it back together with a crimp connector.

check your wires it is very easy to pull the panel off and check the speakers to make sure they are working.
