Since we are all getting a little sick of questions regarding what tires fit, and what is the difference between a F250 & F350, I think from now on, if I see a post with such a general question being asked, I will lock the thread.
I will "kindly" tell the person to read the FAQ, and do a search on the info they request, because it has been covered hundreds of times.
Also, for some new users....if you don't know then don't answer, I'm getting a little tired of false information....
Input from you guys on this idea as always, is not appreciated...I mean IS
Sounds good to me but is good to remember we were all newbie's at one time with the same q's that have already been answered a million times...As long as we don't turn people away or give a sense that their petty q's are too simple for the ford Gods...
How about making a stickey that says" the Difference between f250 and f350" That would take care of about 10,000 threads a year.

Sometimes I wish you would "take your ball and go home".
Yes people should use the search function before they ask the same question, but you were new once also and not versed in everything this site has to offer. But getting unfriendly commemts from they Moderator everytime someone posts a question on something you don't find valueable or that has been covered isn't very friendly.
And every truck is different what will work on my 5.4 may not work on yours, but posting a picture with 35's on your truck making people think that they are "useable" is false information also. Just my humble opinion
Yeti,
I can see your point, however the only stupid question is one that is not asked I know we have the FAQ thread at the top, what if we put a Tire Sticky type thread up there as well with some good info about tires size and maybe wheel basics(backspacing, width, lug spacing 8 X 170 etc. ) and none of this we'll make it fit BS. Just a thought
Manny
I looked at all the tires questions before I asked mine to see if I'd find the answer but I didn't, then one of the guys was nice enough to tell me to look at your gallery. I figured that you've done it and I'd be ok. I know nothing which is why I asked and this site wouldn't allow me to pm or email you cause I tried. Didn't mean to hit nerves I'll ask my questions else where now thanx, Yeti.
Has the server been upgraded so the search won't be disabled? I used to get server too busy a lot, seems to be working great lately though.
I tend to agree that if it is too common a topic it would be nice to have a sticky to refer someone to, anybody have a bunch of spare time? Maybe a sticky with the title "Please search before asking" with a few links to threads on the common question.
I do wish people would take a few minutes to look, often if they'd just browse back a few days they would find the answer or enough information to ask a more specific question that would be a good thread to have for later searches.
By the way this new truck you all have helped me build is awsome, thanks to everyone, it wouldn't have been as nice or easy to do some of the electrical mods with out your help.
And every truck is different what will work on my 5.4 may not work on yours, but posting a picture with 35's on your truck making people think that they are "useable" is false information also. Just my humble opinion

dagwood41, my friend, I beg you to find one post where I state that 35's WILL work on a stock truck. I put the pics in my gallery to show people how close they are and why they WON'T work.
But perhaps I can see if someone was only to look at the pics and think to ones self , if there on his they will work on mine.
I have updated my gallery of those pics saying it is not recomended to run those tires on a stock truck.
As far as being unfriendly EVERY time I post, well I appologize if that's the way you may have taken it....
GN1..Please don't think this was beacause of your question...trust me when I say it has nothing to do with you at all
I don't mean to come down on you. I just have noticed that there are a few issue's that get you worked up and felt that I had to give you some grief about it. You do a fine job moderating this forum. I myself would not want the job.
Originally posted by DougD Okay - I see what you are saying...Straight and level with moderate turns it's all good. Pot hole while turning is all bad...
Got it.
Thanks...
Just turning in to my driveway, which isn't a very big incline, I could hear and feel the tires getting inot the plastic inner well, I would hate to really compress the suspension and find out what would happen.
