Ok here's one for ya'll. A F250 and a F350 that are the same.
The front of the 250 has two more pounds, The back three more pounds
making it 5 more pounds heavier curb weight than the F350. Does anyone know what
items are heavier and why?

Model /Wheelbase/ Cab Style/ Front / Rear / Total Weight/

F250 4x4 / 156.2 / CrewCab / 3,648 / 2,623 / 6,271 /

F350 4x4 / 156.2 /CrewCab / 3,646 / 2,620 / 6,266 /

It's those extra beefy F-250 badges...

They make them "heavier dutier" than the tinsel thin F-350 badges. On average each F-250 badge is just over 1.5 lbs heavier.

They put 1 lb extra in each front tire and 1.5 lb extra in the two rear tires on the F250's. What? It doesn't work that way?

90% of the stuff that gets discussed on this board is done over and over and over again. It's the new guys, of whcih we all were once, asking the same questions over and over again. If you want to chase everybody off go ahead and keep your little club of know it alls so the rest can come here and pay homage to ya! You too, abendex. Other wise leave it alone, it's a forum that people get information from and discuss ideas, they may not be the ones you feel like reading oevr and over again but it's lets new people on board. Hell you might even meet someone you want to talk to again...

I see in your signature that your new truck is very similar to mine! What color did you get and did you go with auto or stick? Either way, nice truck.

wbarber_07458, Thanks I have the 6 speed and got Dark Green with Tan interior.

I like the tire size chart, Superlift has something like that http://www.superlift.com/print/chart..._tire_size.pdf

By the way which lift is best?

Well, with the feedback I'm getting, I guess this was a bad idea..
So we will forget that I ever mentioned it and continue on the way it was.

Does this mean we don't want to come up with an improved FAQ at all? I still think it would be a good idea - I still ask lots of stupid questions that could be in an FAQ.
