Sometimes it's hard to figure out if an idea is bad, or if the other 5 billion people on the planet are being oversensitive!! Seriously though, most people come to these forums with no idea how they work (speaking for myself of course). It usually takes a few posts before someone "meanders" around and finds all the different forums and discovers the "sticky's". Look at the bright side, every time you see that same post come around again you can assume we have a new member!!!

It's the new guys, of whcih we all were once, asking the same questions over and over again. If you want to chase everybody off go ahead and keep your little club of know it alls so the rest can come here and pay homage to ya! You too, abendex. Other wise leave it alone, it's a forum that people get information from and discuss ideas, they may not be the ones you feel like reading oevr and over again but it's lets new people on board. Hell you might even meet someone you want to talk to again...
Just my .02
huh? the only thing i 'know,' is that you better bring some knee pads if your going to be opening up your mouth.
and for your info.... i answer the newbies questions and invite them to stay... apparently you mixed up my feelings for spam and unscruplious salesworms that sign on with a hundred different userids to pitch a product.... kind of f's up a forum and if you don't believe that go look at the other two big ford sites.... full of spam and product pitches (and if you don't agree with the spam, you will get booted from there (yes, a free suspsnsion to the owner of that site gets extortion like results!))
take your whine somewhere else where they serve cheese!
Get a grip dude, can't you tell when someones jerking your chain.
I had n o idea you were so sensitive, must a happened when you lost monsta's sis to yeti, not sure........

The regulars will tell ya' they're tied of seeing the same exact thread show up day after day after day... been discussed to death, inforporated in the FAQ, and still being questioned. Any time I see this I try to politely direct people to the FAQ. Locking the thread and inserting a standard blurb of "check out the FAQ located at the top of the thread list or by hitting this <link to FAQ>" seems like a nice, polite, easy-going way to clear some bandwith.
Been away for awhile ridin snowmobiles !
I have to agree with Haroutd !
This was the concept discussed when the FAQ's
was started , we wanted a place where newcomers to the site and this specific forum could go and get answers to the common questions about superduty's.
personally I'm tired of alot of the simple questions .
Also lift questions ,there should be a seperate section for that also.
Its beginning to get away from the concepts we had.
Also posts are becoming long and off topic alot!
Sometimes we never get follow up on whether vehicles are fixed or not.
Just my observations, its not my site
yeti! do what you think is right !
I'll be drifting away
My interests are changing , My truck runs just fine stock. It doesn't need anything more to impress me or anybody else.
Guys, guys, patience is a virtue. No university ever taught any classes on forum etiquette. There's 2 kinds of people that register on these forums: The first I would label "One hit wonders"- they ask one question and leave. The second type finds some mystical chemistry and eventually attains the title "posting guru". You guys with mechanical knowledge have a responsibility to the common folk to answer all the questions regardless of how mundane they may seem. Then eventually, when the time is right, you can pass the torch!
I am a new user that was using this site to find out the information I wanted to have the confidence I needed to order my new truck. What I am starting to see is a group of guys who like to **** and moan at the thought of answering the same question over and over. I understand very well how frustrating this can be but not everone is very good at operating a computer and do not understand a search. The thought of turning someone off of your site (which until now I have thought was the best out there) is bad enough, but it could be that maybe you are turning them away from a new Ford in general because the Chevy site was a little more tolerable of newbies and answered the questions no matter how painful they were. You guys need to spend a little more time on the issues instead of cluttering most all posts with your inside jokes and ribs about each others fetishes.
