I do not have any children of my own, but I do want to have children. I can't imagine what her family is going through, and I could not imagine the pain I would go through if such a thing were to happen to me.
I was taught something like "stranger danger", and my parents always said go tell a teacher or tell police, but do not go with someone that you do not know. For the most part my parents always picked me up from school, practice or whatever. When neither one picked me up from school (which wasn't often, except for doctors appointments and the like), I lived close enough I could get home in 10-15 minutes and I walked with friends.
