Contact your congressmen and DEMAND they get off their collective glutial muscles and approve some of the judicial nominations that are in front of them.

We all complain about the liberalization of the judicial system. Demand that your representatives REPRESENT YOU and take it back.
We could also demand that congress exercise its constitutional authority to IMPEACH judges who won't follow the law or insist on making their own laws.--Jack

Go back to the basic values that this country, on a whole, had. Once God and the pledge was taken out of schools, abortion legalized, and approval given to porno, these terrible things started to happen wholesale to children.

These criminals are a result of a cause and effect. It is not going to get better, it will get worse. When you are empty of good, you get filled with bad. We are only seeing the results now of the 60s. What do you think will start to happen when people of the 70s and 80s hit 35 years old if we do not change our ways now?

I just finished writing to my local GA rep and getting her reply back about indecency on TV when Janet flashed us. This is all a downward spiral.

There is nothing better I would like to do then send his murderer back to his maker ASAP, but, it would not solve the problem of why they exist. Not only did he murder her, he dumped her at a church after defiling her. Go figure it out.

Very true Rebocardo, if we think about it, laws just keep the criminal minded in check, and a lot of mischief seekers too I guess. They do not stop the bad from being what they are. We have always had bad people and always will have, its just that now, for the reasons you state in your post above, we have more of them due to increased population and battered morals and family values. (trying to stay non p.p. on this one )

From: Buffalo - proof Hell has
Bring back Alcatraz. Take all the bleeding hearts, especially those with children & force them to take these predators into their OWN homes. Have them watch an autopsy on a child who was murdered. Heck - have them present when a woman or girl has to undergo a rape exam. Make them pay for the funerals of these kids. Lock them in a room with the parents & siblings & let them tell these people the grief they're feeling.
I worked at Children's Hospital here in Buffalo for 8 years. Although I wasn't in the ER I did have to go thru it every nite. I saw some of the kids brought in - physical or sexual abuse cases & I cannot describe what that felt like. I was on the nite our youngest rape victim was brought in. I worked on the Labor & Delivery floor & had to wake the residents for a Code R - rape case - & have them go to the ER. None of us knew the victim's age - the ER was unusally close mouthed & gave no details other than hurry. Residents went down - called for more residents & MORE residents. Pages went out for Pediatric Surgery STAT. We didn't know it was for this child. Excuse me - did I say child? It wasn't a child - it was a 12 MONTH OLD INFANT! And, it wasn't a molestation. It was a full fledged rape by SEVERAL ADULT MALES! We found out later when our docs returned after hours in surgery, sewing this baby back together inside & out. I later found out the medic who'd brought the baby in - a teacher of mine when I was certifying for my EMT cert had a nervous breakdown over this. He couldn't respond to ANY cases involving a kid again. He had to quit the field totally. He was another victim of this heinous crime & it was a terrible loss for our EMS services. He was among the very best ever.
Sorry but this case & all the others just make me wonder how a criminal can be protected better than the victims. My poli sci teacher in college was right - criminal justice means justice for the bad guys & not the innocent people.
May Carly rest in peace & may her family find the comfort, peace & strength they need for this. My prayers are with them all.

hey I got an idea (we actually came up with this some yrs ago dealing with drug dealers but it would work with sexual predators too) and this will even let the bleeding hearts have some piece, all they gotta do to be set free with no jail time is to make it across the end of the 100yrd range at the local gun club, if they make they are free. Rules are simple no fully automatic weapons, and only 2 30rd clips per shooter.
personally I believe that the constitution strips thier rights once they are convicted of a felony except that certain elements have forgotten this little fact so they do not have the right to sue about not having cable tv in prison.
As far as death penalty appeals go we do need them ( we don't want to execute inocent people) but the process should be shortened, and it is simple after the trial there should be an automatic appeal in that the case goes to a panel of judges that review the case details (no new witness, no new evidence, and no lawyers.) if the find something that wasn't done right the kick it back to the court to clarify, or retry if they find serious problems (don't give them the authority to completely overturn the jury but just force it to be retried if something was done wrong) or they can uphold the conviction, if the conviction is upheld the person dies within 24hrs no exception.

The Feds and all states should adopt LA state law which is (roughly) a dna conviction on rape on anyone under 12 is a death penalty offence. I pretty sure they put one down down there on that law recently. Any aggrivated rape (weapon used) should be a death penalty offence. I'd say all but that would get messy.

I couldn't handle that if it was my family.

I would vote for a politician that supported this system, and then I would buy stock in every prostetics company in the U.S. I would be a miilionaire in a month. We would have to come up with a new greeting method besides handshakes. Maybe headbunts would work.
One of the problems is the court system. There is always a shadow of doubt unless there is witnesses. Look at O.J. Simpson. People don't have enough faith in the court system to put people to death because they fear that the people may be falsely convicted. Personally, if I was falsely accused and sentenced to life in prison I think I would rather die first anyway.

The only thing that I am glad for in this whole deal is that rapests and child molesters (if the rest of the prisioners know about it) dont fair well in prision. Lots of guys in their that find it lower than anything including murder and lots of these rapests and molesters end up dieing a very painful death in jail.

If this was done to a member of my familey or a friend they had better hope the cops catch them and lock them up before I find them. I have absolutly no tolerance for rape or child molestation and my justice would likley be slow and extreamly painful. They would not nessarily be killed but you can bet that they would never be able to rape or molest again.

I remember watching a true, real life documentary style show on t.v. a few years ago about a small town in somewhere USA. They showed the town "bully" (actors of course) and the way he had terrorized the whole town population for years. He had the local police on his side, so all complaints went on deaf ears. One night this "bully" ended up on the recieving end of a lot of 30/30 rounds and was put in to non-existence. To this day, NO ONE in that town knows a thing about how Mr. Bully got all shot up. Call it vigilante justice if you want, I would call it decent people rendering justice when there was no justice for them. Sixty four years ago in my state, the killer of Carly would not make it to a court. Back in 1940 in my hometown , they hung a predator like Carly's killer from a oak tree , out at what was then the outskirts of town. just m.o.

When swift sure justice is not rendered by the "authorities" people will take matters in their own hands. Unfortunately we are just about at that point.--Jack

We just sent a guy up for life without parole for shaking his girlfriends baby. The child didn't die or he would have been juiced here in Texas.
From my understanding, pedophilia(sp?) is incurable. There really should be no second chances for this type of criminal. When something like this occurs we should shift accountability to those that let him slide before. If it was some slack judges butt on the line they might rethink their decision making process. Ditto for defense attorneys and jurors.

> Look at O.J. Simpson

The only real reason O.J. walked was because a cop with access to evidence lied many times on the jury stand. This lead to reasonable doubt. There is no way you could convince me, a white 40s male, that the cop (MF) did not plant the gloves and some blood evidence. I am sure more than one cop was involved too. I would have convicted O.J. just on the beatings he gave his wife. What concerns me is he has custody of his children.

after seeing the news of the little girl i looked at my children (4 of them) and couldnot imagine the pain the familly must be going thru right now. sit down and talk to your children about what to do when a stranger approches. I created a password for my kids if anybody says they are there to pick them up they ask for the secret password. and if someone says they don't know or can't remember then DON'T GO and just like what was said before kick, scream, yell, run do whatever it takes!!!!!!
