The Whipple Kit comes with everything you need. You use your stock fuel pump and Whipple sends you 2 injectors to replace your stock ones. It depends how many times you floor it before you have to replace the water/methanol. It only comes on when you floor it and get to 3500rpm, which is pretty quick. Your lucky, I have found when its hot I put an icecube in my mouth, that seems to work.
You two are making some laughs out here!! LOL. Its going to be like 20 below up here tonite! You can see them through a down filled coat in this weather!!!!!
Now my question: How many other mods have you done besides the whipple? Did you have to do a dyno pull to get it dialed in? Did you install it yourself? And most important how did the people at Whipple answer any questions you might have had AFTER the sale?
I sell skidloaders(ASV,Gehl , New Holland) and flatbed trailers for a living. The company I just left had me in an 04 6.0..Which treated me fine..No problems at all in 20k..Loved the tranny!! But now I am going into business for myself and need a 1 ton truck..After reading about the V 10 I think thats the way I am going to go with a six speed and 4;30's..Maybe with a whipple if I can swing it..Trying to learn as much as I can so I make the right choice..
I thought when it(whipple) first was put on the market it had an optional intercooler? Didnt know about the water injection part. What mods do the chip that Whipple sends with the kit accomodate? Does it run on 93 octane without pinging? Any other problems? I will be towing up to 15,000 at times..Thanks for the info! signed,,Frosty Nips...no whippling for me tonite.
To see my other mods send me an e-mail at spurbarranch which is located at att dot on the net. I havent had it Dynoed yet. Had Derek and Mark from trixtersracing. on the org do the install. Yes, Whipple was very helpful with all questions. Go to coronadocobras on Google, they have a good website with questions about Whipple.
