help 460 alternator bolt

hi, i lost the dang alternator bolt

the long one that goes threw the alternator. does anyone know the lenght of the bolt and the thread size and what course it is. so i can go buy another bolt. the truck is a 1986 f250 4x4 460engine 4 speed manual.

It should be a 7/16" course thread bolt somewhere around 5" to 5 1/2" long. I'll know for sure tomorrow, I'll measure one of the ones I have.

I assume this is the Upper mount you're asking about & not the lower mounting alternator ?

The bolt is 5" long, at least the 2 I have are. It's the bolt that goes through the bracket, alternator and a short spacer and into the block.

hi, i found the dang bolt

it was between the fender and battery its amazing how you can lose such a big bolt. lol. i also have another bolt problem the pivot bolt for my power steering is strip
