That is normal unless its actually running down your pipes. Clean them off and crank her up, if its a blowby or turbo problem youll know right away but i dont think it is. I think its just the breather sucking oil into the intake.
Well, if it's been cooking on there for four years then yeah, that would be normal.
There are lots of variations on the reroute. Do a search on CCV mod.
On mine I just removed the vent hose to the intake, turned the crankcase vent on the valvecover 180* (so it faces rearward) and ran about 10' of 3/4" hose up over the master cylinder and down the frame dumping out under the bed of the truck.
The only problem I see doing this mod is the chance it may not pass a visual inspection of emission control devices during state safety inspections in some areas. Some states or counties are lacks about this, some are pretty strict.
I do a search for CCV mod and end up with nothing on this site. Cookie88, do you have any pics of yours?
It sounds prety simple to do, just got to pull apart intake again and route some hoses i guess
