Thanks, but that was not my question. I was just wondering, if anybody that has a 6.0. Does anybody have one that uses oil? Mine does not use any. Ever.

Ok. Guess I am not understanding. I know of some that do and they get fixed. Glad yours don't.

Wow, that one came outa left field.

Are you wanting to repair other people's trucks that use oil?

If someone says: "yes I do" or "no I dont".....then what?

But I'll play along....no, I do not have to add oil between oil changes.

No oil added here. I worried about that stuff years ago. In the past would check how much came out during oil changes. Pretty dang gone close to what I was putting back in. I never worried about using the oil level indicator (dip stick) again.

I watched mine pretty closely when I first bought the truck, with 103,000 miles on the odometer but I now have 112,000 and have never added any between oil changes......to be honest with you every time I open this forum someone has dropped a new bomb about the pitfalls of the 6.0. I forgot about the oil situation long ago I think when I bought the truck it was the EGR bursting that everyone was ranting about, before I got a chance to worry much about that it was the oil cooler plugging and then HPOP going out and then standpipes and dummy plugs and then.....well, you probably get the picture. So far I'm loving my truck and as long as I stay away from this site I am fine, lol but it is likened to a bad accident, you know you shouldn't look but just can't help yourself. I have picked up alot of pointers about PM on here though and I think that will get us a long way down the road with these trucks. Oh, and sorry about the long rant I just had a few minutes to kill before church.

Should be more worried about MAKING oil than burning oil.

Umm, nope. That wasnt it either. Well maybe. I guess if you put 12 qts in it for an oil change and then drive it and then you remember, oh man I just put 12qts in I need to ADD a couple of more. So technically it could be. Maybe thats what he is after.
