Engine surging.
I have had it a day and when it rolled of the transport vehicle my wife - who took deliver Wednesday said it started fine twice.
I haven't had time to do anything but wash it so far. I have an appointment Monday with my mechanic for a end to end top to bottom inspection.
I did a search for "surging idle" but did not find a good answer. I have not checked the battery condition but from past experience dealerships put in the cheapest batteries in they can.
I will do more investigating this weekend but I just wanted to throw this out for any ideas now.
Thanks,
Reg

1) Probably not your batteries since you can get it started.
2) It may be your cam position sensor (CPS). The part is $82 at my local international dealer.
3) Have your mechanic check your glow plugs while he is at it with his ohmmeter. Takes 5 minutes to check the resistance of each. Here is the procedure.
4) Could also be the crappy glow plug relay unit. Information about that in the link above too.
