I know its overkill but almost sounds like you need a hoist or some type of beam across the fenders and hook onto it. Does it twist side to side at all, or is it just plain stuck? If ya damage it, you needed a new one anyway

The 351m/400 had issues with the distributor sticking, usually from electrolysis or corrosion in the area between the distributor and the block. Sometimes the only remedy is to get a very big wrench or bar and just manhandle it out. I had to remove one by using a long bar and pounding the distributor until it started to spin in the hole, which destroyed it in the process. When you replace it, use some abrasive paper and remove some material from the new distributor so it doesn't fit so tight, and apply some anti seize before you reinstall it.
