[QUOTE=Ltngdrvr;21792617]Yeah, from my research, those 400- part numbers are just front or rear axle pairs, same balancers as the 300-318 set of . So basically they were wanting ne to pay double the price. Thats one way to make money. I agree. I just haven't said anything. I thought they were tbe sane also.

300-328's on mine. You have to specifically ask for them, at least when I ordered them. Pics in my post below, and more info on the 318 vs 328 in that thread.

Thats what I was trying to think of!

But still, the 318’s work for us too.

I also put a set of 300-318 on my 22 F-250 with 18" wheels. I think one of the things that matters when picking the correct set is bolt spacing. I didn't use the spacers but I do recall they were snug going on over the lug bolts. I didn't figure they would need to come off very frequently though. I'm getting ready to put new tires on, so that will be a good time to see how the balancers are holding up.

My first choice if wheel weights don’t work. Would be balance beads then Quick Silver (MERCURY) filled Balance Masters balancers. My last choice would be noisy at low speed Centramatic.

I can hear the Centramatics at speeds below about 20 mph or so... noisy though? No. Not at all. Unless my windows are down and my stereo is OFF I can't hear them at all.

I also use them in combo with wheel weights. The Centramatics are great in that they keep the wheels perfectly balanced throughout the lifespan of the tire. Don't have to worry about beads or such... and I bought them once and will have them for the life of the truck.

What’s there to “worry about beads or such”? I haven’t heard of any problems with beads or such.

I only like having windows and stereo down at low speeds, that’s exactly when the Centramatics are noisy.

If I lived in the wide open spaces of Wyoming, I can only imagine when and where I would drive with the windows down. Likely on some dirt road heading out to experience nature at its best. But wait, is that the noise of my AT tires or the dirt road I'm on? No, it has to be the Centramatic balancers being louder than the tires themselves.

Speed limit through town is 25. Centramatics are the worst choice of all available options IMO.

I ask again, what’s to “worry about with beads or such”?

Does this statement ^^ of yours mean you don't have Centramatics and never had them?

As I said, by the time I hit 20 mph you can't even hear the Centramatics anymore. The only time I have heard them is in slow speeds in a parking lot, and again they aren't loud by any means... Even with the windows down and the stereo OFF I still hear the truck running and folks around me more than the beads. It's so easy to drown them out that I don't even have to try... lol.

And the Centramatics are much less to worry about because I put them on my truck and I never have to worry about them again. They're just there. No measuring and dumping beads in and then having to do it again with new tires. And from what I hear (pun intended) you can also hear the balance beads inside the tires too at the same low speeds...

Glad you like your expensive Centramatics. They would be my last choice for wheel balancing.

If tiny ceramic beads rolling around on the inside of rubber tires are loud to you, you must really find those steel ball bearings rolling around in your steel Centramatics rings really, really, really load.

Beads are inexpensive. Most of you will probably sell your trucks by the time your third set of tires are wearing out or before.😂

Yeah, ok. I’ll have my truck long after the 3rd set of tires, and the Centramatics as well. They are a great purchase and many of us that actually own and use them can recommend them. And don’t worry, they’re not cranked to 11 like this guy thinks…

How many miles do you have on your what, 2022 now?

Unless you’re hotshoting they will never payoff for you.

You’re all about Bilsteins, Falkens and now Centramatics. There’s better options for all of those.
