Hi there I’m seeking some advice with using FORScan to program a factory trailer brake controller to my 2026 250 STX. Has anyone trikes this yet?

This is my first time using forscan, I changed the 3 settings in ipc first to no avail. I found settings for the trailer brake controller in abs and pcm as well and switched them on with no success. I have since reverted all settings to factory. Am I missing something or is it possible that I am not able to program this myself on a 2026?

 

have you checked fuses ? fuse #54 needs to be installed and good.

 

Yes I have as well as #27 I believe under the dash

 

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm trying to do the same install on my 2026 F250 XL.

 

Need to do the same on my 25 STX.

 

Its crazy for a 3/4 ton truck not to include it. I didn't even think it was a question I had to ask

 

It is crazy isn’t it. I missed the fact that it wasn’t in there on my test drive.

I was not able to get it to work with FORScan, I ended up dropping it off at the dealer and having them program it, $50.

 

Bean counters gonna count beans. Cuts everywhere on what should be standard.
