I recently purchased a 2016 F-250 that did not have the factory trailer brake controller and wanted to put one in. Found an aftermarket one that’s plug and play and installed it planning on using FORscan to program it. When I went into FORscan and navigated to where the numerous you tube videos I watched instructed me to, the option to enable the trailer brake controller was no where to be found. Any ideas as to why this might have happened?

 

You need an OEM brake controller.
