Glued, no. There is thermal paste to help with heat transfer, and also potentially an insulator.
You did put thermal past on it right? they do heat up some.
There was no need for glue or tape to hold it.
There is a clip/bar that keeps pressure on them to sync heat.

Do what cha gotta do
Just fixed a 1990 Country Squire (crown vic wagon) today that had me going for days
They replaced everything including the processor twice but used Jippo parts
New Ford unobtainable DU30C stator fixed it along with another new Motorcraft TFI module
