Yes I got those. I Would need to cut the new plugs and snake the wires them through the hole and reconnect correctly? Or should i just drill out a hole big enough to fit the plug through
I would just cut the wire at a convenient place and splice it back with some waterproof bullet connectors. That gives some flexibility if you ever have to pull them back out for some unknown reason.
If you're going to have to cut wires, may as well use the new headlamp wire/plugs.

There are multiple ways to skin the cat. You can make a bigger hole in the bucket, you can cut & splice wires, and some sockets/plugs can be disassembled.
