With the AFE pan, that's a pretty simple and effective setup. Honestly, if you're pumping 3 GPM, I don't even see the need to run the pump on all the time. It'll filter the entire pan and then some in a matter of minutes. That'll help extend the life of the pump as well.
yes…that’s why I want to test if the pump will run at 9 or 6 volts. Cut the gpm 50% or 66% it will still be more than enough.
they do sell two smaller models with the same temp rating but the price difference is something like 25 dollar cheaper for the next model down and 50 cheaper for the model below that. And the service life rating drops a little if you step down.
I was going to do the same thing using an Insane Diesel bypass filter. I already have soft lines going to my Tranny thermostat and cooler. Plan was to pull from the supply line and either dumping into the return line or dumping back into the pan or service port.
