Yours are both silver and are stamped 440. Those are the longer ones that are in stock at Dennis Carpenter and are used with the two speed wiper motors as well as the left one for the single speed motors. They should be about 317.5 mm long. The slightly shorter black ones are stamped 508, are painted black and are about 311.5 mm long. That's only 6 mm difference overall length.

Unless I misread, the ones in stock have a center distance of 11.25 which does not match mine and the ones unavailable have a center distance of 11.46 which matches mine, or did they make a mistake in their description ?

I only buy NOS parts from Dennis Carpenter which they don't list on the web site. I can't know how badly they have their reproduction parts mislabeled or misidentified. Yours are clearly identical to my longer ones which are all stamped 440. Here's one on eBay that is stamped 440 is silver and has the part number C1TB-17540-A as expected. It says RH in the title which is only part of the story.

I emailed Dennis Carpenter letting them know that at a minimum they have the pictures flip-flopped between their two listings of those arms. I also told them they should provide the overall length like Ford did rather than only the center-to-center measurements.

Over at LMC in their drawing they show the part is 12 1/2" overall but in the description of that same part they list it as 12 1/4"

I don't think some of these places have a clue - or at least no attention to details.

It's a real shame to be so imprecise because it distorts everything and makes us buy unusable products...

To me that is a good fix - low friction, good stability and weather or UV resistant. They should not deform under the torque. Very clever!

How are the original bushings installed? Could you take the bushings from a repro part and install it on an original arm?

I think you’d have to destroy the rubber to get them off. Not a grommet as such - it’s more like they molded them in place.

I don't think so because it's not removable without breaking them.

Delrin is a good material in general. I believe it will hold up for the thrust application, but I would have concerns about the radial loads. My guess is they're pretty high. Looks like the original is bronze. I'd look for a bronze bushing and use your delrin washers on the sides

I will try this solution if mine doesn't last.
