hello, i was wondering if any of you deal with this same problem.
on the drivers side of my windshield the wiper blade skips and hops over part of the windshield.... especially at higher speeds. and there is one segment that it NEVER touches unless i push the blade down with my hand while its over it. the passenger side works perfectly. it did this with the last set of wiper blades i had on there too.
any suggestions on how to fix this?
ford390gashog, good post, just like to add, Use The original metal wiper arm which hold the wiper blades. I like using the wiper blades with the metal slats running the length of the wiper blades. Are the truck wiper arm original, or are they aftermarket?

thanks for the replies guys. are you talking about bending the actual blade part? ive done that, but it normally goes back to how it was after a short period of time.... ill just stick it out and cake the windshield with rainx.
This is common on 73-79s i thought id be smart and put longer wipers on mine that did not help .That dry spot gets real annoying in the GREAT WHITE NORTH.
The original metal wiper arms work best, then using the original wiper length works best on those original ford wiper arms. I once used the longer wiper blades and had the same problem of the wiper not cleaning properly.
When I wash my truck, I will use a towel to wipe the wiper blades of any grude or dirt build-up, which accumalates during wiper use.
