Dumb question and I never took a clear pic when disassembling 13 years ago. Can anyone tell me the order in which the plates (red arrow in pic below) get mounted? Do they go on right on top of tunnel cover then boot on top of them? 1966 F100
The metal piece with square hole (12131) sits on top of the transmission - the foam (12130) sits on top of it and acts as the weather seal. Then the transmission cover over that. Then the boots and the one ring goes over top of the transfer case boot to hold it in place.
Thanks TA - I couldn't find a pic like the one you posted below. This helps a lot. Only thing that kills me is I'll have to pull the new carpet I just laid yesterday (thank got I didn't use glue in areas that need it yet) to get to the tunnel cover so I can remove it to install plate and foam. UGGHHHHH. It was a pain getting that carpet up under the firewall insulation cover.
