My 66 F250 is missing the front dust cap, tried Napa and O'kragiley, which was a waste of time, so I figured I'd axe my fellow FTE'ers if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell and ship..?
Most likely have a couple floating around from when I did the drum/disc swap, just have to find them. May take a bit. Yours when I find 'em.
Are they really that difficult to find new? Seems like a real simple part.
**edit**
Found 'em. Way easier than I thought. Both front end assemblies sittin right where I left them 5 yrs ago. Who'da thunk. Mine's a '65 F250, assuming they're the same as your '66. I'll PM you in a bit

1966 F250 2wd, Front dust cap
Thanks
Joe
Joe, I’ll bet NAPA, or nearly any auto parts place, if you give them the diameter cap you need ( and go to the paper catalogs) can order the correct ones and have them to you in a couple days.

Yessir, probably so, annnd while I was at Napa getting the heater hose for my Excursion that decided to split the other night, I totally forgot about the dust cover!! 🤦♂️🤣 like it didn't even cross my mind, daggum CRS is kickin in hard some days!
What we need to know is if the truck @Pickupmanx2 is working on has the Heavy Duty 12" x 2 1/2" brakes like a 1966 F250 Camper Special might have or the 12 1/8" x 2" that all 1965 F250s and some 1966 F250s came with.
The dust caps were different for the ones with the H/D brakes for 1966 and up.
A8TZ-1131-B - CAP - FRONT HUB GREASE - 2 1/4" O.D.
Otherwise, it would use
LF-1131-A - CAP - FRONT HUB GREASE - 1 31/32" O.D.
Dorman #13973 has the same diameter as the Ford LF 1131-A, 1 31/32” O.D. I think that is correct for 66 F250 2WD? Someone smarter than me can correct me, though.

It might be correct or might not. My post just above yours mentions the Heavy Duty brakes like some Camper Specials came with which used the larger sized dust caps. No, I'm not smarter at all just had run across this when researching for my one truck.
Joe, ignore all the other posts as I have 2 that I can send you. Both for the low low price of $1m each, plus shipping of course. I knew my prized possessions (junk as the wife would call it) would be worth a fortune 1 day. LOL
All kidding aside, lots of good info above. Not sure what size mine are but if you can't find what you need, let me know. I can check size on them later.
YES, they are the 2 1/2" brakes, and the dust cap is the 2 1/4" cap and unfortunately I'm going to need a brake drum also... the brakes had a bounce to them, DR side has a crack and is slightly out of round, the young guy I sold it to, then bought back from, had put spacers on the front, didn't loc-tite them, they came loose on dr side and wheel came off, bent fender and bent/cracked brake drum ugh..
