Let me start by saying i just joined the group, I’ve had other 6.7s before but just most recently picked up a 2018 6.7 f250, deleted and tuned, leveling kit, 20 inch wheels 35 inch tires, 128k miles. If this should be posted somewhere else just let me know please.
Just picked it up at the dealer drove fine no issues for 30 minutes on test drive. However on my drive home from Dallas to Midland Texas(95 degree day, not towing anything, just me, my wife and my dog in the truck)my trans temps shot up to around 230 degrees and were still climbing at the posted speed limit 75mph after about an hour of driving home. I slowed down to around 65mph and was able to keep it around 225-226 degrees for the remainder home until I got off the highway and was in stop and go a little getting back to my house off the highway where it shot up to 234 and still seemed to be climbing. Checked fluid level it’s fine, service record on carfax is very detailed and always done on time but never seen a a trans fluid flush. Kinda worried the trans could have issues maybe someone has any insight? Seems extremely high for not towing and just normal driving. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the trans fluid cooler is clean and not blocked. Are there any bro boy light bars mounted in front of it?
if it's clear, check the fluid level. It might be way over full. Ahhh heck even if it's fine level wise, change it. It's past due by anyone who cares about their stuff.

no sir, no light bars lol. Yeah agreed I wanna have it changed, I bought their 3 month warranty thing through AUTTO so I’m gonna have them take a look but can’t till monday so wanted to get some ideas before then, so I’m gonna have them inspect it all just curious if anyone had any other thoughts on it. I’ll check the cooler now didn’t even think of checking the cooler, it is dusty and dirty around here. Here’s a photo of the truck.
Check the fluid level....
then change it. Use only Motorcraft LV and Motorcraft filter. Do not use any other fluid or filter. Takes an hour or so....
sorry, in the first message I stated the trans fluid level was good. Yeah that’s probably what I’ll do tomorrow just to rule it out before Monday to see if it changes.
