I'm at my first SD with 6.7 power stroke. From time to time I happen to haul quite a lot of stuff in the bed. Having no experience with this engine I'd like to ask your experience on transmission temperature, driving on flat or high grades for instance, what's a safe temp range to keep the transmission at.

My engine oil temperatures haven't exceeded 245°F and my transmission temperatures haven't exceeded 235°F. I tow an 11K toy hauler over Rocky Mountain passes.
If you're worried about it, slowing down can help a bit. Going too slow can also be a problem. I've seen my temps do some strange things when pulling up the other side of the Ike Gauntlet in stop and go traffic.
If your coolant, oil or transmission gets too hot, your truck will tell you. No need to focus on it. Follow the severe duty schedule and relax. Don't take the enjoyment of driving away by worrying about everything. Enjoy your Super Duty.
