Diagnosis Help

I need some help determining if I have a spark or fuel problem. I have a multi-meter, but only know how to check battery health. Ex turns over like the battery is in good shape. That’s as far as I’ve got. I need a step-by-step how to. I’m thinking fuel or spark, but that’s as far as my brain can go.
Thanks.

Identify your truck including engine.

Crack the throttle slightly while cranking (for diagnostic purposes). The engine also needs air.

If a gas engine, shoot some starting fluid or brake cleaner into the intake while cranking to see if it fires. If it does, you have a fuel delivery issue. If it does not fire, a spark issue.

Thanks. I’ll try the starter fluid. Hopefully our Ex will not start in my garage and I’ll be ready. If not, I may have to carry a new pump with me along with tools and several empty gas cans.
