When hooking batteries back up...
Every time when I hook my negative cables back up to the batteries after doing some tinkering. I always do the passenger side first, no reason why but I do. When i touch the negative cable to the battery terminal it sparks every so slightly. Then I go to the drivers side and no spark.
Do you guys see a small spark when hooking your first battery up?

Yes. I done it both ways, driver and passenger side first. Either way, the First ground I hook up gives a very small spark and the second obviously does not since the circuit is already complete.
it has never been anything dramatic. Usually very small.
I dont believe it is it is unique to our trucks. Most vehicles I have worked on have done it. I have even hooked up ground First then the positive. I think only my older junk doesn’t do it. No computers or anything to power on those.
