The engine turns over but will not start. I do not have the necessary tools to see if it is fuel pressure, spark plug or whatever the case may be. The fuel pump has been replaced.
This most recently happened today. Leaving my apartment complex, I had to stop for the gate to open. When I slowed down, the battery light came on and it died.
I put it neutral to get it out of the way. The battery has power, check by jumper cables and got a spark.
I don't know enough about my vehicle or any other to figure out what to do.
You have to start by telling us a year and engine. How often does it happen? You say it has happened before, what did you do to get it going (let it sit/cool down/etc).
You said: "The battery has power, check by jumper cables and got a spark."
What did you do to produce that spark? Did you ground a terminal, connect jumper cables, or what. The battery light may have come on because the engine died or because of low voltage. If the problem is low voltage, you can still get a spark, but not enough to fire the plugs. Altho, if the engine turns over, you should have sufficient voltage.
See if you have a neighbor who has a voltmeter, borrow it and do some troubleshooting on battery voltage and whether you have voltage at different points on the starting circuit.
