Your frame will be stamped in two places , one above the steering box and the other mid point of the cab on the same side. There should have been a tag on the left door post between the hinge pockets and there should be evidence of four screw holes that held the tag. Could be whoever you purchased the truck from took that tag off and misplaced it or someone took the tag to make a Ford into a Mercury at which point you should check and have the numbers found on the frame searched to make sure it hasn't already been registered in someone else name..
Couldn’t get into my account no matter what I did.. so here is a new one
looks like a gold mine of information. Can’t wait to go through it. Thanks a million
The front of the frame was replaced with a Camaros from what I remember. Couldn’t find and sign of anything by the hinges. Gonna look on the frame under the cab like you suggested, thanks for that… pretty sure it’s a mercury as my dad bought this truck in the 80’s. From what I remember it had been used as a contractors business truck before it was parked, it looked very different back then, my dad is the one who hot roddled the thing in the 80’s. Chevy suspension and rear end, chrysler engine and tranny, good grief. Thanks a million buddy
