Another request for VIN/Door tag help.
I can look up the VIN but I don't know where to find the Trans and Axle codes on this truck.....
Sorry for the bad quality image. Not my phone.
VIN: 1FDNF7QH8GVA12960
Trans: SPAxle: EOM or E0M
N = Class 6, 19,501-26,000lbs GVWR
F7Q is not listed. None of the model numbers for this series are in the letter number letter format. It should be F70 but it sure looks like F7Q. Look on the next line for "Type/GVW" where it shows "F70231"
F70 = F700 gas
H = All versions of the 370, same as your prior truck decode.
8 = Check digit, ignore
G = 1986 model year
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
A12960 = Numerical sequence of assembly
9E = Special White
87 = Body company (sold to fire truck or moving van manufacturer for example)
189 = 189 inch wheelbase
F70231
F70 = F700 gas, 21,200lbs GVWR
231 = 23,100lbs GVWR (conflicting info--could be the label, could be the MPC copy that I am viewing. Since it isn't a special order truck that's all I can figure is a typo in one place or the other, probably the MPC.
BK8 = Standard cab. I do not have upholstery or seat info.
SP = Spicer model CM4054D five speed transmission
E0M
E0 = Eaton model 16244 two speed rear axle, 17,500lb capacity, 6.14/8.54 ratios
M = Ford 7,000lb capcity front axle with power steering
Let me know if something doesn't match up.
Good luck with it!
