I have a 1999 7.3 that has the two hard brake lines that go into the soft brake line for the driver side. I want to get custom soft brake lines made so i can bend them neatly to where i want them but with this double fitting it’s hard to find somewhere that will do them. is there any harm in me buying a cap fitting or something to just cap this extra hard line off. or does it actually need to be there?
Brake lines are routed pretty carefully from the factory to avoid being damaged by outside influences. Why do you want to re-route them in the first place?
i’d like to reroute them because i had to buy extended ones to accommodate my lift but now the tire comes extremely close to them when i turn the wheel. i want to get long custom ones made to run them neat and safely out the way of everything.
OK, the lift explains why. Before I retired I used to operate a small auto repair business and would get custom made stuff from a business in Ballard, WA. They also have a website and may be able to fulfill your needs. https://www.nebaronline.com/
The other hard line is the line that runs to the passenger side. So if you want brakes on the passenger side you need to keep it.
I would reccomend brake lines from pmf and crown performance. Crown performance makes the lines for pmf. They are top of the line. Pmf just sells them in a kit that will come with everything you need with all the correct ends and bends.
You could always get lines made for a higher lift...I think PMF sells them by length IIRC.
My lines are connected to my ABS lines. Looking at your pic, you could easily make another or modify the bracket holding the line. need to get it closer to the shock I imagine. You could even route what you have between the coil and the shock.

The setup the original poster is asking about and pictured is a rear abs only truck. Front line come from master cylinder to driver hose. Then tees off it and runs the passenger side hose. That's why some may think it's a odd setup. 4 wheel abs trucks are different.
