I need to replace the output shaft seal on my C6. The replacement seal also came with a replacement bushing. I'm considering replacing that as well if it doesn't make the job notably harder. Is there a kit that can pull the old bushing and seat the new bushing while the tail is in-place? I saw a video of a person bashing the bushing out with the tail dropped, but I'm looking for an easier route. Thanks!
PS - Excuse my terminology if its wrong - I see this called an output shaft bushing, tailshaft bushing, extension housing bushing, and an exit housing bushing.
Snap on makes a tool that slips into the housing that has fingers that grab the bushing and with an impact wrench turning the jack screw on the end the bushing comes out. Then with the installer the burning gets replaced.
Maybe one of the Auto Zone. Oreilly or rental tool places has one.
I don't think you can replace the bushing without removing the housing from the trans. Never tried it but it's tough enough doing it with the housing on the bench.

Thanks, Kenny! I think I found one on Amazon. My local stores didn't have any loaner tools. I guess you just hammer in the bushing with the installer tool. What could go wrong!?
