Horn Pad

I need a horn pad for my truck. I can't seem to find them on ebay or anywhere besides lmctruck.com. I really don't want to pay $140.00 for something like that, if anyone could point me to a website who is cheaper or has a horn pad, it'd be much appreciated.

If you want new, Dennis Carpenter has the black, w/o cruise horn pad for $100.00
LMC more than likely get theirs from DC and mark them up.

I'd head to the JY and look for 78s and 79s... the last year, hence the newest Dentsides to come off the line. If ya find a good one, double-check the backside and inspect the plastic core/backing for cracks. They're usually crispy from age but I've seen a few good ones just laying on the floor pan or seat.

With or without Speed Control?

Without Speed Control: There are two different styles of horn pads, both interchange and are reproduced:

D3TZ-13A805-A (replaced D1TZ-13A805-A) .. Black Camera Case Finish / D3TZ-13A805-B (replaced D1TZ-13A805-B) .. Walnut Wood Grain Finish.

Applications: 1971/77 F100/350, 1974/77 Bronco, 1975/77 Econoline.

1978/79's do not use the same horn pads. They're a different shape because the 1978/79 steering wheel is different than 1971/77.

Link to ebay ad in post 2: Another clueless ebay seller! Horn pad fits 1978/79 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline. Does not fit 1977 or earlier anything!

Wanna see the difference? Look in Carpenters 1967/79 truck catalog (page 21). ALL the horn pads are pictured as are their applications.

They come and go all the time on e-bay , you just have to keep checking unless you are in a hurry . If that's the case you can buy reproductions. Some times they end up on e-bay or craigs list after somebody changes theirs to a cheap aftermarket so called custom wheel.

Dennis Carpenter has them.
Dennis Carpenter Ford Car, F-100 Pickup Truck, 8N, 9N Tractor and Cushman Scooter Restoration Parts

EDIT: I take that back. Apparently DC doesn't have them anymore. I checked the website and its no longer listed, same thing with LMC. NPD still lists it but its out of stock.

Yeah, I went to the website to check and found the same thing. The only one I've found so far that still lists them is National Parts Depot, but they're also listed as out of stock.

My buddy Rich (77and79F250) sent you a PM, and I'm sure he can get you going. If he doesn't have one for you, I have a good horn button for a factory steering wheel in the shed.
Just let me know.

I looked up the P/N, you need D5TZ-13A805-B
That's the horn bar with cruise and burl walnut trim.
Unfortunately, no dealer or obsolete parts supplier has one.
