Adding an additional 4-pin connector

I want to add add a led strip light under the tail gate of my '24 F350. The strip light has a 4-pin connector on the end. I don't really want to tie up the factory existing 4-pin connector and have to unplug the light strip connector each time when I pull a trailer with a 4-pin connector.
I had a Ram that had a additional 4-pin connecter installed under the bumper. It appeared to come from the factory that way.
Has anyone installed an additional 4-pin connector to their Super Duty? If so how did you do it?
Thanks!

They have this 4 pin splitter for less than $10 on amazon. You could find a way to mount it or just use it when using the trailer.

I used a Hopkins adapter ... no cutting, no splicing

  1. pull the ford connector from the back of the 7 pin mounted on the bumper
  2. insert ford connector into Hopkins adapter
  3. insert Hopkins adapter into back of 7 pin mounted on the bumper
  4. viola, you have an extra flat connector
The Hopkins has a 5 pin flat, which you can hook your 4 pin flat into, or here is also a link to a no-name Hopkins knockoff with 4 pin

My OBS came from the factory with an adapter made by Pollak. I don't remember if my 2022 did also but I know it has a Ford adapter in the glove box. They just keep pinching pennies and providing less and less for inflated MSRP every year.

This also looks like a viable option. This intrigues me since it will not tie up the factory flat connecter.
Thanks!
