I was working on getting my trailer light connector set up and found that the right blinker output is not working from the flat 4 pin connector that I plug my harness into, left blinker and park lights work just fine out of the same harness with the test light, so I know the ground is good. I used a test light all the way up to that factory flat 4 pin connector on the drivers side by the spare tire. The right blinker lights do work on the pickup and I replaced the flasher module with a heavy duty one.
Does anyone know exactly where the trailer plug wire for the right blinker interfaces to the actual right blinker circuit? It appears to all combine into split loom and go into the frame of the pickup. I ran out of day light and thought I'd see if anyone knew where they connect to eachother before I start ripping all the wiring out of the frame. I'm hoping the problem exists where ever these two wires are interfaced.
There is an aftermarket adapter that plugs into the round inline connector where your flat connector is -see if that connector is made up/ can be separated and plugged together in the harness -may just be a bad adapter that can be replaced along with the 4 pin flat in a kit. 95 manual show a splice at firewall that breaks out to the factory trailer harness and goes to a round trailer connector at the bumper. Seems like I got the adapter kit at a parts store. Good luck.
Yes, there is the round connector before the flat connector. I looked at it and it was clean and all, so I guess I didn't doubt it. I better check it with the test light to be sure. Hopefully that's it.
