Issue codes after fuel filter replacement 2011 6.7
The codes don't make sense (to me) for "fuel filter replacements"?
P1291 - Injector High Side Short To GND Or VBATT - Bank 1, and 1292 is the same except 'Bank 2'.
I would first find out exactly 1.what all they broke, then 2. all the parts they replaced, along with 3. where they obtained those parts. These trucks only like genuine Motorcraft, especially so when it comes to fuel filters, caps, pumps, etc. If they got them aftermarket from local parts store, you may end up chasing your tail.
You want to be careful at this point running the truck to much without it getting proper, non-aeriated fuel, since lack of lubrication (diesel fuel) could damage the Hight Pressure Fuel Pump (CP4).

I'm wondering if the broke the injector return line fitting, which is a "Tee" fitting in the OUT hose connector, which is made off of plastic. That's a common fail point... got this pic from here.

When I searched "6.7 Powerstroke P1292.." this came up "6.7 Powerstroke P1291 P1292 which yielded this link.... which had this link in a post. Another link... scroll down to bottom also, more links with these codes...
The earlier trucks like yours have separate fuel sensors in the factory steel line that feeds the CP4 high pressure pump... here's a pic of the filter bucket which holds the secondary filter, the fuel feed (from DFCM) line connector (IN), the fuel (OUT) with the injector return fitting (Tee) and the separate fuel pressure sensor and the fuel temperature sensor, to give you a better idea of what is going on...

Those codes are weird and are injector related like Scott said... you need to find out exactly what was broke and they need to make this right, because it sounds like the truck was running fine prior to this...
