Was very cold last week, so no chance to work on truck, this week was above freezing so decided to work on Flex first. It needs a new vent door motor, and timing chain. Started working on the vent door motor.
All this
Just to get to this
the motor is out, still have to check that it moves freely then index it before I can reinstall the new motor.
then order an oil pump, oil, filter, and antifreeze so the chain can be replaced.

This is worth having on hand for ANY dash work. Sometimes it can save hours of disassembly.
I was looking for something similar to that that I saw in a Utub video, but it was a 90* extension that uses a driver handle or 1/4" ratchet on the end. It locks in place where what you posted can shift sideways, since its moving along with the socket and screw. Just the socket and screw rotate, the shaft remains fixed in place, but its also twice what that one you posted costs. I'll post it up if I can find it again. Either case, yes, a tool like that is very handy for this kind of work. Too bad it still required taking the dash out to get to that one stinking bolt since it is up and inside the dash frame with no means to get to it at all otherwise. You cannot even SEE the bolt from underneath.
is the tool he used. One end is a hex bit socket, and comes with a 1/4" socket adapter, the other is a handle with a ****, you rotate the **** to turn the socket. Since it doesn't move, once you got the socket on the bolt, it doesn't pop off like it does with a wobble or universal or even when there is room to swing the ratchet.
the tool can take sockets with by using the insert and it can take bit's directly. comes with 2 size tools. the tool can adjust angles ...so if you need 23.5 offset..it can do it.
